ClearCube's Virtualization Business Grows
ClearCube Extends Market Standing With Record Growth in 2007 and Exceptional Financial Performance in Q1 of 2008

ClearCube announced the company's latest successes with strong market demand, technology innovations, customer and partner success. ClearCube's continued high standing in the centralized computing space is demonstrated by the company's momentum in a series of corporate developments over the past year:

Strong Growth and Customer Success

  • VDIworks formation: ClearCube spun-off its software business as VDIworks
  • Financial success: ClearCube achieved 38 percent business growth in the second half over the first half of 2007, and 34 percent increase in net revenue in Q1 of 2008 over Q1 of 2007. As a result of this financial performance, ClearCube is tracking to achieve profitability goals in 2008.
  • Solid market presence across multiple verticals: ClearCube has thousands of customers around the world in the financial services, government, education, healthcare, commercial and manufacturing industries.
  • Exceptional customer success: 2007 marked customer growth among existing customers such as ABN Amro, Allianz Life Insurance, AtlantiCare, Chicago Mercantile Exchange, McConnell AFB, NATO, Tyndall AFB, Wachovia and many others.
  • Channel Partner Growth: ClearCube shifted to a 100 percent channel focus, launching a new Global Partner Program to meet increased market demand for centralized computing and connection brokering solutions worldwide. ClearCube solution partners increase revenues and profit margins by capitalizing on the growing demand for centralized computing solutions. Existing ClearCube customers benefit from enhanced support from both ClearCube and its partners.

"The ClearClube centralized computing solution has not only allowed us to ensure the required security and availability needed in our highly demanding environment, but it has allowed us to gain competitive advantage in the financial services marketplace through time-to-market with the performance of the solution," said Jason Scott, EMEA head of technology services, Wachovia. "With the ClearCube solution, we are able to meet and exceed the computing needs of both our traders, enabling them to focus their resources on serving our customers and driving revenue for the company."

Technology Innovation

  • Leading the virtual desktop wave: ClearCube certified its PC Blade Solution for VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) with VMware's ESX on ClearCube's R2200 blade. In addition, the company's virtual desktop management system is now hardware agnostic with Sentral, enabling virtual desktops delivered from other vendors' hardware.
  • Shattering the distance barrier inherent to PC blade computing: In 2007, ClearCube introduced the I9400 series, user port devices that facilitate the first PC blade solutions to provide both dual- and quad-monitor, full-performance graphics via an IP connection over virtually unlimited distances. The company now offers a series of Teradici-based products that provide a high performance centralized computing experience over copper or fibre infrastructures.
  • Providing PC blade hardware: ClearCube has introduced new PC blade products, including the R1300, R2200, A1410 and R1350, which enhance the performance of centralized PC resources while allowing ClearCube's solutions to work in a wide range of demanding customer environments.
  • Earning industry accolades: ClearCube won the VMworld Gold Award for Best Desktop Virtualization Technology with Sentral 5.5.

"ClearCube is a clear innovator in centralized computing," said Michael Rose, research analyst at IDC. "The company demonstrated this throughout 2007 by introducing its Sentral VDI Management system and new PC blade hardware that enables high-performance computing functions while also looking to the future of centralized computing: desktop virtualization."

"CDW Healthcare has built its brand on delivering best-in-class technology and services to our customers," said Bob Rossi, senior director, CDW Healthcare. "ClearCube's innovative centralized desktop computing solutions extend our value into the healthcare segment, enabling provider organizations to simplify their IT management processes while equipping caregivers with access to critical patient data. We're pleased to partner with a technology firm who is continually refining their offerings to provide the market with the exceptional products and services our customers have come to expect from us."

New Management Team
ClearCube continues to be led by a seasoned executive team with extensive experience in companies at various stages, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies.

  • Previously COO, Randy Printz, now president and CEO
  • Doug Layne, worldwide vice president of sales and marketing
  • Jeana Thomas, senior director of alliances and channels
"ClearCube's technology transformation -- in the desktop virtualization space -- and its vision of the centralized desktop computing needs from end-user experience to virtual machine management and connection brokering, have been the driving factors in our success," said Randy Printz, former COO and now president and CEO, ClearCube. "Record growth, the latest corporate developments, as well as, significant sales wins this year in the financial services, federal government and healthcare sectors will help ClearCube solidify its position as the undisputed centralized computing leader in 2008."
