SEATTLE, WA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 12/20/07 -- Treemo (www.treemo.com), the real-time social media publishing platform dedicated to sharing any type of media, anytime, anywhere, today unveiled the next evolution of its solution at Treemo.com. The star feature of the new site is a Channel Player widget that users can embed on websites, blogs, MySpace and integrate as a Facebook application to allow for automatic publishing of photo, video, audio and textual content uploaded to Treemo.com.
"We've evolved our offering to make Treemo.com an independent place where users can upload any or all of their content (photos, videos, audio, text) from their mobile phones and it updates everywhere," said Brent Brookler, CEO of Treemo. "Everywhere being on MySpace®, Facebook profile pages and other social networking sites, blogs and personal wikis. Users will also be able to showcase and share their favorite content through our new suite of easy to use media sharing tools including the Channel Player, and Media and Subscribe Widgets."
Each user gets their own Treemo Channel where they program their photos, videos, audio and text and share content within the Treemo community or among personal groups. The Channel Player lets users play the latest 24 content items from their or any other Treemo Channel. Users can simply embed the Channel Player in any web page, blog, or wiki to showcase the latest content from users' favorite channels -- their own or friends'. Similarly, via the Media Widget, users may browse Treemo for videos, images, or audio tracks they want to embed and feature on their own web pages, blogs, or wikis.
Treemo.com also offers an easy Subscribe Widget for users to attract friends, family or fans to subscribe to their content or favorite Channels. Users then register their phone numbers to receive alerts to view the most recent media posted for that Channel on their phones. This subscribe feature is also embedded within the Channel Player. Treemo.com will also be localized in four languages: Chinese, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
With its complete set of easy-to-use media publishing and sharing tools, the new Treemo.com has drawn the attention of high profile musicians and organizations like Russell Simmon's new non-profit, Diamond Empowerment Fund (DEF) seeking to build niche social networking communities to connect in real-time with audiences and supporters.
Dubbed "shared communities" by Treemo, these websites represent co-branded initiatives built upon Treemo's platform. The DEF site can be found at http://def.treemo.com.
"We are thrilled to be working with such a talented team of designers and technology professionals that understand our vision," said Ellen Haddigan, DEF Executive Director. "We expect the new Treemo tools to enable us to increase our ability to spread the word and gather greater support for our mission to empower young Africans through education."
