Breaking iTV Internet Video News: Time Warner CEO To Step Down December 31

Richard Parsons will remain as Chairman of the film, TV, Internet and publishing giant, though

Richard D. Parsons, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Time Warner Inc, is going to step down from the CEO role from December 31 and remain only as Chairman of the filmed entertainment, interactive services, television networks, cable systems and publishing giant. That, anyway, is what early reports are saying this morning.

He became CEO in May 2002 and Chairman of the Board in May 2003, having prior to that served as the company's Co-Chief Operating Officer, overseeing its content businesses-Warner Bros., New Line Cinema, Warner Music Group and Time Warner Book Group-as well as two key corporate functions: Legal and People Development.
