Network Ten Selects ROO to Power Online Video Network

NEW YORK, Feb. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Internet broadcast specialist ROO (BULLETIN BOARD: RGRP) and Ten Network Holdings Limited , one of Australia's three free-to-air commercial television broadcasters, today announced that ROO will provide integrated video streaming for TEN's new digital media offering. Network Ten has stations in each of the country's five mainland capital cities that air such highly popular shows as "Law & Order," "Australian Idol" and "The Simpsons."

When it launches in February 2007, Network Ten's site will feature video content from the television network as well as music programming from the ROO network. In addition to providing the strategy and tools for video streaming, ROO will also provide the network with the capability to wrap targeted pre-roll advertising around the content. Using ROO's VX technology platform, Network Ten will have the ability to customize the video selection being shown as well as the freedom to upload content in real time.

"Our viewers are a demanding audience -- they expect our Web site content to be as dynamic, compelling and absorbing as what they see through our great TV programming brands, said Damian Smith, general manager -- Digital Media at Network Ten. With ROO, we can create a site that will meet their expectations and give them content they haven't experienced from us before. And with ROO, we were able to get video content up quickly and efficiently."

"A popular and in-demand broadcaster like Network Ten needs a highly sophisticated online video strategy," said Robert Petty, CEO of ROO. "Viewers used to the high quality of its TV programming are going to expect a similarly absorbing experience online. Our technology, content library and syndication and distribution capabilities, as well as our advertising programs, are peerless in their ability to increase page views, keep users on the site longer, build brand and customer loyalty and generate new ad revenue. We are thrilled that one of the largest broadcast stations in Australia has joined the many other media organizations that ROO counts as its valued customers."

About Network Ten

Network Ten (TEN) is one of Australia's three national commercial free-to-air television broadcasters. TEN is highly profitable and maintains the best operating margins in its sector through its 'seriously different business model': clear differentiation from competitors, targeted demographics, careful expenditure, and focus on profitability and returns to shareholders. With distinct programming and some of the biggest, 'must-watch' events on television, TEN has won every ratings year since 2001 in its core 16-39 demographic and is now broadening into the US benchmark 18-49 demographic that accounts for approximately 75 per cent of Australian advertisers' television dollars.
